Text Box: Flint Hill Baptist Church & Christian School Bessemer, Alabama Due to rapid growth in church attendance and student enrollment, Aho Architects, LLC was commissioned by Flint Hill Baptist Church and Christian School in September 2007 to develop a 10-year facilities master plan expressed in two-year increments. Several studies were performed to determine the point at which Flint Hill Baptist Church and Christian School would have to renovate and expand to do increase attendance and enrollment. The conclusions reached in each study guided the design of this master plan to include: renovating both the existing church and school facilities; building a new sanctuary building along with additional parking; and constructing a new football stadium with parking, concessions, restrooms and a field house. In addition to the previous proposed phases, the master plan also includes suggestions and ideas for maximizing all available church owned land while maintain positive “green” space, purchasing additional property as it becomes available, and design concepts for a potential future high school addition.
